The Harrisburg Economic Development Corporation is undertaking an economic development initiative that includes an action plan to grow the community through business attraction and job creation. The initiative is mindful of the quality of life amenities and opportunities as it aims to define a five-year objectives to achieve and fund impactful results for the benefit of all.
 
An initial "discussion draft was proposed to community leaders earlier this year. The Harrisburg City Council and Harrisburg Economic Development Board (HEDC) are now hosting several "Community Dialogues" (CD's) to solicit your input to the strategic plan and to enrich the original draft document. Click on the date you would like to attend. Dialogues are open to residents and are scheduled as follows:
 
 
Note: Light snacks and beverages will be served at all events.
 
At each dialogue, key considerations for economic growth and quality of life amenities will be briefly presented and area maps will be available. The dialogues are facilitated by Al Doeve (Sr. Project Executive, NCDS, Inc.).

The regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning board for Tuesday 9/14 has been canceled. A special meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 9/28 @ 6pm in the City Hall conference room (301 E Willow St).
