SOUTH EASTERN COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE FOR LINCOLN COUNTY HIGHWAY 106 (271ST STREET) CORRIDOR STUDY FROM TALLGRASS AVENUE (471ST AVENUE) TO 480TH AVENUE
South Eastern Council of Governments (SECOG), Lincoln County, City of Harrisburg, City of Sioux Falls, and South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), are hosting an Open House to gather public input to help shape the long-range vision of the Lincoln County Highway 106 (271st Street) corridor.
Open House Details:
Date: Thursday, October 13, 2022
Time: 5:30-7 p.m. CT
Location: Liberty Elementary Commons 200 E Willow St, Harrisburg, SD 57032
The goal of this open house is to gather input on issues and needs to be addressed as part of this study along the Lincoln County Highway 106 corridor. This information will help the study team shape the long-range vision for the corridor and create a plan to help guide future corridor projects and development. While the future Veterans Parkway will have a notable impact on traffic volumes throughout corridor, this is not a Veterans Parkway corridor meeting. The focus of this open house is the Lincoln County Highway 106 corridor.
Project representatives will be available with displays to discuss the study and answer questions. During this time, participants will also have the opportunity to submit written comments.
Area residents, business owners, and daily commuters are encouraged to attend and participate in the open house.
Notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that this meeting is being held in a physically accessible place. Any individuals with disabilities who will require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in the meeting should submit a request to the South Eastern Council of Governments at 605-681-8176 or 1-800-877-1113 (Telecommunication Relay Services for the Deaf). Please request the accommodations no later than 2 business days prior to the meeting to ensure accommodations are available.
Written comments will be accepted until October 31, 2022, and may be submitted at the public open house, through the study website, or directly to one of the project contacts.
Please visit the study website for more information and public open house materials: www.siouxfallsmpo.org/lincoln-co-hwy-106-corridor-study. Open house materials will be available on the website starting October 11, 2022.
