City of Harrisburg Offering Public Tours of Water Reclamation Facility
HARRISBURG, SD, June 2022 – The City of Harrisburg is offering public tours of the Water Reclamation Facility located at 47629 274th Street, Harrisburg, SD 57032.
The facility has been operational since August 2021 and a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in October 2021. The public is invited to attend an informational tour of the facility led by the Water Reclamation Facility Supervisor.
Interested participants should RSVP no later than one hour before the tour starts. Tours will begin promptly at the time listed. Please arrive at least five minutes beforehand to get checked in. Participants are required to wear close toed shoes. Accessibility outside of the buildings may be limited. Please contact Larry if you require additional assistance. Cancellations due to inclement weather will be listed on the City’s website and Facebook page.

The goal of the outreach program is to provide outdoor activities to anyone and everyone in Harrisburg!!
Fishing Basics - This class starts with an overview of gear, safety, and fish identification. Then, you will be able to practice your casting and go fishing!
Survival - Learn about what is needed to survive in South Dakota. Many topics will be covered including fire preparation, shelter building, first aid, and most importantly, being prepared. This class is incredibly hands on!!
There is no cost to attend and no reservations needed. Just show up!
