The Harrisburg Community Library is a welcoming environment that connects the community to enriching informational, educational, recreational, and entertainment resources.

Situated at 200 E Willow Street, on the east side of the Harrisburg Heritage building (formerly Liberty Elementary School), the library invites all Harrisburg residents and those within the Harrisburg School District to obtain a library card at no cost by providing proof of residency. Additionally, residents of Lincoln County can acquire a library card for a modest annual fee.

Library patrons can now conveniently browse the Harrisburg Community Library Catalog online from their own devices. Book limits and fees:

Books: 14 days - Renewable 

Audio Books: 14 days - Renewable 

Backpacks: 14 days - Renewable

DVDs: 7 days - Renewable

Outdoor Equipment: 3 days - Non-renewable (Fishing poles, tackle boxes, disc golf sets)

State Park Passes: 3 days - Non-renewable

Late fees:

.10/day on Books, Backpacks, and Audio Books

.50/day on DVDs

Collection Development Policy

Donations:

Gently used books, DVDS and CDs will be accepted as donations at the discretion of the library staff. The library has the right to reject or sell any donated item. Donations are generally accepted based on a number of criteria including condition, subject matter, author, availability, timeliness and price. Some donations not needed may be sold to raise money for the library.
