Parks

Central Park is located at 150 Columbia Street North. Visit the 9 hole disc golf course on the north end. Also on site are T-ball and softball fields, and a championship baseball field. The entire park is getting a facelift with new amenities coming soon! Visit the project page here for updates.   

Located at 507 E. Maple St., Ellis Larson park is fun for all ages. It includes a basketball court and a shelter perfect for large gatherings. Enjoy the playground under the shade trees. 

Grand Gardens is a community garden area located at 801 Grand Ave. It offers 48 garden plots with on-site water and hoses. Stop into City Hall or click here for more information on reserving a plot.  

Located at 503 Troy Ave, Heartland Park boasts large open green spaces along with playground equipment, a t-ball field, a basketball court, and a large shelter. 

Hugh Robinson Park holds the title of the oldest park in town. Situated at 203 Prairie Street alongside the Harrisburg Area Food Pantry, the park features towering hackberry trees that provide ample shade. Recently, the old swings, merry-go-round, and deteriorating picnic shelter have been removed. In their place, you'll find new rubber playground mulch, an upgraded picnic shelter, swings, a gaga ball pit, and ADA-accessible playground equipment.

Knight's Crossing Park is located at 201 Almond Ave and is a quiet pocket park to serve the Green Meadows neighborhood. 

You can fish from the shore, ADA accessible pier, or enjoy the 0.5 mile paved multi-use trail at Lake Ole. Lake Ole is located at 109 Columbia Street North, across from Central Park. 

Lions Park is located in the Legendary Estates addition at 310 N Perry Lane. With plenty of equipment for the whole family, Lions Park also includes a sensory wall linked by a fully paved surface. 

Rover Range is the only dog park in Harrisburg and is located at 805 Kent Street (corner of Kent St and Tom Sawyer Trail). Enjoy the doggy obstacles with free waste bags on-site. 

Dakota Alliance Soccer Club is not city-managed, it is a privately owned facility not open to the general public use. It is located 1/2 mile west of Harrisburg. For more information visit dakotalliancesoccer.com.
