The city is providing complimentary Water Meter/hardware upgrades for those still using our older system and billed in thousands.

How To Identify On Your Utility Bill:

  • If your “present reading” shows 3 or 4 digits (e.g., 432 or 1342) on your bill, you are on our old system.
  • If your “present reading” displays 5 (or more) digits (e.g., 13254) on your bill, or your home is less than 6 years old you are already on the new system and do not need to take any action.

Upgrade Duration:

  • Depending on the location of your meter, the upgrade process will take between 5 to 20 minutes and may require temporarily shutting down the water supply.

New Features:

  • We will have the ability to monitor hourly usage and provide you with a printout if you have any inquiries regarding your consumption.
  • In the event of a significant leak, our system will alert us, allowing us to notify you promptly.
  • We can read your meter directly from our computers, eliminating the need to visit your house for readings.

What Will Be Upgraded:

  • Houses that require an upgrade may receive a new white box, particularly if the updated hardware cannot be accommodated in the existing box.
  • If your water meter shows a reading exceeding 800K, it will be replaced.

Additionally, much of the hardware requiring upgrades is approaching the end of its 20-year lifespan and will need replacing regardless.

We appreciate your cooperation in facilitating

this transition to our new system.
